1The principle
A VouchHive review tells other people what it was really like to use a product. Readers trust it because you tested for real, you said what you honestly think and everyone can see you were paid for the test, not for the rating.
2What a good review contains
- What you did. The tasks you tried, for example signing up, finding a feature, making a test purchase or contacting support.
- What worked and what did not. Specific moments, not general praise. "The checkout asked for my address twice" helps more than "checkout is bad".
- Who it suits. The kind of person who would like the product, and who might not.
- A rating that matches your words. If you describe several serious problems, a 5 star rating will look odd to readers.
- Enough detail. At least 150 characters (most approved reviews are 80 words or more), in your own voice. Answer every question in the drop.
- Screenshots from your own test, when the drop asks for them. They stay private and are only seen by the Hive Team.
3Banned behaviour
- Reviewing without really testing, or testing for a few seconds and filling in the form.
- Copying text from other reviews, the company's website or anywhere else, or submitting mass-produced or fully AI-generated text.
- Asking, telling or paying others to give a certain rating, or accepting such a request. Joining groups that coordinate ratings.
- Accepting money, gifts or discounts from a company in return for a review, or reviewing a company you work for or compete with.
- Posting your paid VouchHive review on Trustpilot, Google, app stores or any other platform.
- Using more than one account, sharing an account or hiding your identity to get extra spots.
- Sharing or reusing test logins, or using them for anything outside the test.
- Fake, edited or borrowed screenshots.
- Personal data of others, insults, threats, hate speech or private information about the company's staff in a review.
4How we check reviews
The Hive Team reads every review before it is published. Automated checks help us spot copied text, very short reviews, mismatched ratings and suspicious account patterns, but a person makes the final decision. If a review is rejected you see the reason in your account. Approved reviews are published on VouchHive with the label "Verified tester, compensated".
Companies can reply publicly to a review. They can never edit, hide or delete it, and we never remove a review because a company dislikes the rating.
5For companies
- Give testers working test accounts and clear tasks, then let them form their own opinion.
- Never contact testers, offer them anything or suggest a rating.
- Reply to reviews calmly and factually. Replies are public and must not include personal data about the tester.
6Report a problem
If you think a review breaks these guidelines, or someone asked you to coordinate a rating, tell the Hive Team. Reports are confidential. See also the Terms of Service and the short Hive rules.
